“Style and Substance” is the title of this feature from Architectural Digest.
Stefano Pilati, formerly the head designer of YSL and is now at the helm of design for Ermenegildo Zegna rented his duplex in Paris and did little more than fit in his belongings. But making the commitment of purchasing and staying in 2006, and working with architect Bruno Caron transformed the typical dwelling into something ..with substance. Well, we all know as head designer one possesses an avalanche of style but when his compelling reason to purchase this property was to find a a place with a private garden where his 12 year old Boxer, Bepi could roam, that, I cannot argue is substance.
“Everything is coordinated around my way of living” asserts Pilati. That is a statement of style with substance.
